Ce matin j’ai passé une demi-heure en prière avec Jésus, Notre-Seigneur, et voici ce qu’il m’a dit :

Melvin, mon frère, je t’aime et je bénis tous mes frères et toutes mes sœurs dispersés dans le monde entier.
Mon anniversaire est très proche et je désire que vous le célébriez tous avec moi. Je suis venu dans le monde pour donner un sens à votre vie. Vous étiez dans l’obscurité, loin de votre Père qui vous a créés. Beaucoup croyaient en de faux enseignements et vivaient sous l’emprise du malin. Ils n’étaient pas libres, mais esclaves de sa puissance maléfique. Mon Père m’envoya pour vous faire passer de l’esclavage à la liberté des enfants de Dieu. Pour ce faire, il me fallait devenir un être humain comme vous.

Ma tendre Mère Marie accepta d’être celle qui m’apporterait au monde. Elle donna son consentement total à l’archange Gabriel lorsqu’il vint lui annoncer qu’elle avait été choisie pour être ma Mère. Elle donna son humble oui au visiteur du ciel par ces mots : Je suis la servante du Seigneur; que tout se passe pour moi comme tu l’as dit.
Dès qu’elle accepta ainsi d’être ma Mère, l’Esprit Saint la couvrit de son ombre et elle me conçut, moi votre Sauveur, le Fils de Dieu.
Je naquis de la même façon que vous tous. Je vins au monde comme un enfant, dépendant de la sollicitude de ma Mère et de mon père adoptif Joseph. Ils prirent très grand soin de moi.
Je les remercie vraiment de tout ce qu’ils firent pour moi, à partir de ma naissance jusqu’à ma maturité.
Le moment est venu de vous préparer à cette fête qui est mienne. Allez à l’église souvent et recevez les sacrements que j’ai laissés à mon Église.

Mettez-vous en prière chaque jour et consacrez du temps à la contemplation, cette prière que j’aime. Pardonnez à toutes les personnes qui vous auraient blessé, de la même façon que je vous pardonne vos fautes. Je veux que vous soyez tout près de moi chaque jour. Je vous aime. »

Le Père Melvin Doucette, âgé de 63 ans, est né à l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard, au Canada. Il a été ordonné prêtre il y a 34 ans chez les Missionnaires d’Afrique, les Pères Blancs, et il y a travaillé pendant 29 ans. Il reçoit des locutions depuis trois ans et vit actuellement chez lui à Tignish, Île du Prince Édouard, au Canada.

Uncivilized ?

Before our white brothers arrived to make us civilized men,
we didn't have any kind of prison. Because of this, we had no delinquents.
Without a prison, there can be no delinquents.
We had no locks nor keys and therefore among us there were no thieves.
When someone was so poor that he couldn't afford a horse, a tent or a blanket,
he would, in that case, receive it all as a gift.
We were too uncivilized to give great importance to private property.
We didn't know any kind of money and consequently, the value of a human being
was not determined by his wealth.
We had no written laws laid down, no lawyers, no politicians,
therefore we were not able to cheat and swindle one another.
We were really in bad shape before the white men arrived and I don't know
how to explain how we were able to manage without these fundamental things
that (so they tell us) are so necessary for a civilized society.

People should avoid using Wi-Fi

People should avoid using Wi-Fi wherever possible because of the risks it may pose to health, the German government has said.

Its surprise ruling – the most damning made by any government on the fast-growing technology – will shake the industry and British ministers, and vindicates the questions that The Independent on Sunday has been raising over the past four months.

And Germany's official radiation protection body also advises its citizens to use landlines instead of mobile phones, and warns of "electrosmog" from a wide range of other everyday products, from baby monitors to electric blankets.

The German government's ruling – which contrasts sharply with the unquestioning promotion of the technology by British officials – was made in response to a series of questions by Green members of the Bundestag, Germany's parliament.

The Environment Ministry recommended that people should keep their exposure to radiation from Wi-Fi "as low as possible" by choosing "conventional wired connections". It added that it is "actively informing people about possibilities for reducing personal exposure".

Its actions will provide vital support for Sir William Stewart, Britain's official health protection watchdog, who has produced two reports calling for caution in using mobile phones and who has also called for a review of the use of Wi-Fi in schools. His warnings have so far been ignored by ministers and even played down by the Health Protection Agency, which he chairs.

By contrast the agency's German equivalent – the Federal Office for Radiation Protection – is leading the calls for caution.

Florian Emrich, for the office, says Wi-Fi should be avoided "because people receive exposures from many sources and because it is a new technology and all the research into its health effects has not yet been carried out".
